Meet the Team

  • Matt Zodrow

    DIRECTOR, EDITOR

    Matt Zodrow is a five-time Emmy Award winning director and editor who started his career over 30 years ago as an animation cel-painter at Colossal Pictures in San Francisco before moving on to directing and editing live action commercials and then documentaries. Over the course of his career, Matt has produced award winning documentary content for Travelocity, The Discovery Channel, and PBS, as well as festival award-winning independent productions.

  • Craig Richardson

    EXECUTIVE PRODUCER, LEAD RESEARCHER

    Craig J. Richardson is the Founding Director of the Center for the Study of Economic Mobility (CSEM) at Winston-Salem State University and a Truist Distinguished Professor of Economics. He enjoys working with talented filmmakers to showcase deep-seated economic problems and innovative solutions. This is his third film serving as executive producer and lead researcher, and Craig also writes frequently on many economic topics. He has published articles in The Wall Street Journal, Barrons, Forbes and many academic articles, as well as speaking to international audiences from Zimbabwe to London.

  • Nakyla Comer

    PRODUCTION ASSISTANT

    Nakyla is a senior Business Economics major with a Finance minor, and a CSEM Student Research Fellow. She lives in Winston-Salem, North Carolina.

  • George Cooper

    PRODUCTION ASSISTANT

    George is a junior studying Mass Communications with a minor in Digital Media. He is from Raleigh, North Carolina. He plans to be a creative director after graduation.

  • Fabian Barnett

    PRODUCTION ASSISTANT

    Fabian is a Sports Management major from Springfield, Massachusetts and has an associates degree from Dean College.

  • Malcolm Crisp

    Malcolm is a Business Economics major from Charlotte, North Carolina.
